報告題目：Modeling of Interactive Wild and Sterile Mosquito Populations with or without Stage Structure and Revised Simple Models

報告摘要：To study the impact of the sterile insect technique on the transmission dynamics of mosquito-borne diseases, we formulate continuous-time mathematical models for the interactive wild and sterile mosquitoeswith or without stage structure. We incorporate different strategies for the releases of sterile mosquitoes in the models and investigate the model dynamics, including the existence of positive equilibria and their stability. We compare the dynamics of these models and then formulate simplified new models to best meet our fundamental goals. We also discuss mathematical modeling principles throughout the presentation.
報告人簡(jiǎn)介：
李佳教授于1987年在美國田納西大學(xué)數學(xué)系獲博士學(xué)位；1987-1990年先后在美國田納西大學(xué)、美國能源部洛斯阿拉莫斯國家實(shí)驗室從事博士后研究工作，自1991年至今在美國阿拉巴馬大學(xué)(漢斯維爾校區)數學(xué)科學(xué)系工作，先后擔任助理教授、副教授、教授(2000年起)，并于2005年起兼任系主任。李佳教授主要從事于動(dòng)力系統、微分方程、差分方程、數學(xué)建模、人口動(dòng)力學(xué)、傳染病動(dòng)力學(xué)、數學(xué)生態(tài)學(xué)、數學(xué)傳染病學(xué)及數學(xué)生態(tài)毒理學(xué)等方面的研究，在SCI源期刊上發(fā)表論文80余篇，獲得多項美國國家科學(xué)基金項目，任Mathematical Biology and Engineering、Journal of Biological Dynamics、Annuals of Differential Equations、Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science等雜志的副主編。李佳教授多次組織和參與有關(guān)生物數學(xué)方面的國際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì )議，在國內外多所高校進(jìn)行講學(xué)，為生物數學(xué)的研究做出了巨大貢獻，是國際生物數學(xué)領(lǐng)域有重要影響的專(zhuān)家。
